Market capitalization is a quick snapshot: take the last traded price and multiply by circulating supply. LiquidityFlow ranks coins by this figure because it is comparable across assets and updates continuously from public market data.
It is not the same as “money in the asset.” Price can move on thin volume, and circulating supply estimates can lag. Fully diluted valuation (FDV) multiplies price by max or total supply instead — useful when unlocks are large.
Use market cap to group assets into large-, mid-, and small-cap buckets, then check 24h volume and liquidity on exchanges before assuming you can enter or exit size.
Dominance (for example BTC share of total market cap) is related but different: it measures relative weight in the whole crypto market, not the absolute size of one coin.
