Bitunix batch TP/SL upgrade: set up to 5 partial take-profit or stop-loss levels from the web futures chart

Live Bitunix BTCUSDT perpetual web chart, captured Oct 18 around 10:27 PM ET: last 82,350.1, Mark 82,350.2, Index 82,380.4, 24h range 80,627.0 to 82,581.4, funding 0.0089% on the 8h clock with 05:33:06 left, 15m candles. This chart view is where the new batch TP/SL setup now lives.
Bitunix just upgraded batch TP/SL on web chart trading (rolled out Oct 16 ET). If you scale out of positions in pieces, this removes most of the clicking and the mental math.
What changed
- Up to 5 levels per side. You can configure up to 5 partial take-profit levels, or up to 5 partial stop-loss levels, in one panel.
- Auto-rebalance to 100%. Change the share on one level and the remaining levels automatically split what is left, so the total always adds up to 100%.
- One save. All configured levels apply with a single save action instead of being entered one at a time.
- TP and SL are separate. Editing your take-profit ladder does not touch your stop-loss ladder, and the other way around.
- Drag on the chart. TP/SL lines can be dragged directly on the chart to move trigger prices.
How to open it
- Log in on the web platform and open the futures chart.
- Pick a position that uses partial TP/SL.
- Open the setup panel and add your TP or SL levels.
- Set prices and proportions, check the totals, then save once.
A worked example (hypothetical numbers, only to show the mechanics)
Say you hold a BTCUSDT long and want to scale out across four take-profit levels at 40% / 30% / 20% / 10%. You decide the first target deserves a bigger slice and bump it to 50%. Instead of you recalculating the other three, the panel shares the remaining 50% across them so the ladder still totals 100%. Then you drag the third and fourth lines a little higher on the chart because you see thin liquidity above a recent high. One save and all four levels are set.
On the stop side you might keep it simple: two partial stops, say 50% at a structure level and 50% a bit below it. Because TP and SL are configured separately, reworking the take-profit ladder later will not reset those stops.
Why a ladder can beat one big exit
- You bank part of a move early without giving up the whole runner.
- You avoid stacking your entire size at one obvious price where everyone else is also exiting.
- A partial stop ladder can reduce the damage of a single wick, while still cutting the position if the move keeps going.
None of this changes risk on its own. A ladder only works if the levels are planned before the trade, not invented while the position is moving against you.
Things to keep in mind
- Triggers are not guaranteed fills. In fast markets or thin books a TP/SL order can execute away from the price you set. Bitunix spells this out in its own risk warning, and it is worth taking seriously on high leverage.
- Watch Mark versus last. On this capture Mark 82,350.2 and last 82,350.1 sit almost on top of each other, but on volatile days they can separate. Check which price your trigger uses before you size the ladder.
- Funding still runs. If your exits sit far away, you may hold through several funding stamps. The header countdown (05:33:06 here, 8h interval) tells you when the next one hits.
- Five levels is a ceiling, not a target. Two or three well-placed levels are easier to manage than five that sit a few ticks apart.
Quick setup checklist
- Decide the full exit plan first: how many pieces, what share each, which side.
- Enter TP levels and let auto-rebalance keep the total at 100%.
- Enter SL levels separately and confirm they still add up.
- Fine-tune trigger prices by dragging the lines on the chart.
- Save once, then re-check the lines on the chart before walking away.
Works the same way whether you trade BTC, ETH, SOL or the smaller perps; the panel lives on the web futures chart for any position with partial TP/SL.
