DeFi HUB / A wallet and a seed phrase
Getting started
A wallet and a seed phrase
A seed phrase restores every key the wallet derived. Anyone who reads it can move the coins. A screenshot, a cloud note, and a form on a website are all copies.
Write it down, then prove the wallet
Write the words on paper, in order, and store that paper where a fire and a stranger do not both reach it. Do not photograph it. Do not type it into LiquidityFlow or any other site. A real wallet will never ask you to enter the phrase to “verify” a claim.
Send a tiny amount to the new address. Then restore the wallet on a second device from the paper, or confirm you can read the address again, before you send more. A restore test with dust is cheaper than a restore test with rent money.
A use case
You want to try a swap this week. Fund the wallet with only the gas coin plus the amount you are willing to see go to zero. Leave the rest on an exchange or in cold storage until the small path has worked twice.
Questions
Can LiquidityFlow recover a seed phrase?
No. We never see it. Nobody honest can restore a wallet without those words or a hardware backup you already made.
Is a password the same as a seed phrase?
No. A password locks the app on one device. The seed phrase recreates the keys on a new device.
