KCEX's daily futures competition splits 17,050 USDT across 500 ranks, but positions opened before 00:00 UTC score zero

What is being ranked?

Daily profit. Anyone with at least 1 USDT of futures volume that day is ranked by profit for the UTC day, and the top 500 share the pool. Profit is the sum of realized and unrealized PnL from positions created during the competition period. PnL earned today on positions created the previous day or earlier is excluded.

Two entry filters: you must have traded USDT-margined futures, and your USDT asset equity must be at least 50 USDT, or you are left out of the statistics. Ties are broken by trading volume.

How is the 17,050 USDT pool split?

Add the pool column and you get 17,050 USDT, which matches the "Today's Prize Pool" counter on the event page. Prizes are paid the following day as futures bonus. That bonus can only be used for futures trading, works on all futures pairs, and cannot be transferred or withdrawn.

What does it take to place?

A snapshot helps. On the board updated at 2026-11-01 15:00:00 (hourly updates), first place showed 4,148.82 USDT of daily profit and tenth place showed 1,095.11 USDT. The page also showed 56,502 cumulative participants.

Worked example, using that tenth-place figure. Suppose you open a 1,000 USDT margin BTC position at 10x, so 10,000 USDT notional. To clear 1,095.11 USDT of profit on that single position, BTC has to move about 11% in your favor inside one UTC day. That is a large move for BTC. Get it wrong by the same amount and the position is close to wiped out. The payout for that tenth place: 250 USDT of futures bonus.

Now the bottom of the ladder. Ranks 301 to 500 receive 5 USDT each. The board shows profit, not risk taken, so a small green day can land there, but 5 USDT of non-withdrawable bonus is a token, not a strategy.

Step by step, if you join today

1. Make sure your USDT equity is at least 50 USDT and that you trade USDT-margined contracts, not coin-margined.
2. Open new positions after 00:00 UTC if you want them scored today. Anything carried over from before the reset will not count, even if it is the best trade on your book.
3. Remember unrealized PnL counts. A position still open at the snapshot is scored on its current profit, and the board updates hourly, so mid-day ranks move.
4. Check ranks before 7:00 PM ET. That is the UTC reset for today's prize pool.
5. Look for the bonus the next day, and read the futures bonus terms before using it as margin.

Where do people go wrong?

• Rolling yesterday's winner. Its PnL today is excluded. Close and reopen only if the trade still makes sense, and remember the reopen costs fees.
• Sizing up to chase a rank. The board pays on outcome, and the same leverage that wins 1,000 USDT can liquidate the account.
• Forgetting the equity floor. Below 50 USDT of USDT asset equity, you are not counted.
• Treating the bonus as cash. It cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
• Trading coin-margined contracts and expecting a rank. The filter is USDT-margined futures.

FAQ

Does any pair count? Volume and profit from USDT-margined futures count, so BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE contracts all qualify as long as the positions were opened that day.

Is there a sign-up step? The page lists no separate registration, only the volume and equity conditions.

How fresh is the board? Hourly.

Can rules change? KCEX reserves the right to modify terms and to cancel accounts that use mass registrations or other fraud.

Treat the board as a scoreboard for trades you would take anyway, opened after the 7:00 PM ET reset.
