BYDFi Futures Earn FAQ 2026: base APR, snapshots, boosters, eligibility checklist

BYDFi Futures Earn FAQ 2026: base APR, snapshots, boosters, and eligibility.
Futures Earn is built for futures users who want idle margin to accrue daily interest without parking everything in a separate earn wallet. Once enabled, eligible assets in the futures account can earn interest while remaining available for normal futures trading. This FAQ-style rewrite turns the support answers into a desk checklist.
What Futures Earn is
BYDFi Futures Earn is an earn product for futures accounts. After you enable it, eligible balances can generate daily interest automatically. You keep using the same futures wallet for trading — the point is capital efficiency, not a separate locked vault.
Base APR and eligibility
Do you need an open position for the 3% base APR?
No. You do not need an open futures position for the base APR. Enable Futures Earn and keep at least 10 USDT of eligible principal in the futures account under the live rules.
Is there a principal cap on the base APR?
Support material states the 3% base APR has no position or trading requirement beyond enabling the product and holding supported assets in the futures account. Always re-check the live panel — parameters can change.
Real-time principal vs interest-bearing principal
Your real-time principal is the current futures wallet balance. Interest-bearing principal is based on an average of multiple balance snapshots during the interest calculation period. That is why the number you stare at midday can differ from the balance that actually earned interest.
Practical implication: large midday deposits that leave before snapshot windows may earn less than the headline balance suggested. Steady balances through the snapshot schedule earn more cleanly.
Position value vs interest math
Estimated position value updates in real time from net USDT-margined futures positions. Long and short on the same underlying offset. Coin-M positions are excluded from that estimate in the support examples.
For interest, the system records position-related values on a snapshot schedule (support describes multiple snapshots per day and averages them). So the value used for interest can differ from the blinking real-time estimate.
Example frame from support guidance: a 1 BTC long and a 2 BTC short on BTCUSDT net to a short exposure; the interest engine cares about the averaged snapshot methodology, not only the latest tick.
Boosters and trading requirements
Some APR boosters may require trading volume or other tasks. Base APR and booster APR are different layers — do not assume a campaign booster applies to your entire balance without reading the campaign card. If a booster needs volume, plan fills deliberately rather than churning at random and calling it yield.
How to enable and monitor
- Open the futures account asset panel
- Find Futures Earn and enable it
- Confirm eligible assets and the displayed base APR
- Transfer supported balances into futures if they still sit in spot
- Watch both real-time balance and the interest / history panel after a full day
- Re-read campaign cards whenever a booster banner appears
Risks and gotchas
- Interest methodology uses snapshots — gaming the meter with fleeting transfers is unreliable and may earn less
- Futures trading still carries liquidation risk; earn does not make leveraged positions safe
- Supported asset lists can change; an asset that earned last month might be excluded later
- Displayed APR is not a guarantee of future rates
- Mixing Coin-M and USDT-M books can confuse position-value estimates
Tips
- Keep a stable eligible float if you care about smooth daily interest
- Separate "margin I need for risk" from "float I am comfortable leaving through snapshots"
- After big withdrawals, re-check that Earn is still enabled and eligible
- Record a week of interest credits before you size lifestyle expectations around APR
Short FAQ
Can I trade while earning?
Yes — that is the product intent: interest on eligible futures balances while tickets stay available.
Why is interest lower than my end-of-day balance suggested?
Snapshots and averages. Balances that were not present across snapshot windows contribute less.
Does Coin-M count the same way?
Support examples exclude Coin-M from certain position-value estimates. Confirm live rules for your account mode.
Is the 3% base permanent?
Treat published APR as live configuration, not a forever promise. Re-check the panel.
