MEXC's Canton 0-Fee Carnival runs to Nov 30: zero fees on CC spot and CCUSDT perps, plus a $1M pool paid in CC

By Updated

Key takeaway

MEXC opened a month-long Canton campaign this morning. The headline is a $1,000,000 prize pool paid in CC, but the part that changes how CC trades is the fee line: CC/USDT and CC/USDC spot and the CCUSDT perpetual are all at 0 fees for the whole event.

Trading read

Zero fees plus volume missions usually means one thing for the order book: a lot of churn. Expect CCUSDT turnover to jump while the event runs, with tighter spreads during busy hours and more two-way noise on the 15m chart. Volume that is chasing a mission threshold does not carry a view on price, so a breakout on heavy volume this month deserves less trust than usual.

The futures mission is the big one in CC terms (3,500,000 CC), and $100,000 of cumulative volume is reachable with leverage. That is the trap. At 0 fees the cost of farming volume is not fees, it is liquidation risk and slippage. Low leverage and tight sizing matter more than the reward.

The hold-to-earn leg pulls in the other direction. Random daily snapshots reward people who keep CC on spot, which can support the spot price while spot holders sit tight. Since every reward is paid in CC, its value in dollars moves with CC itself, and supply from rewards will reach the market after the event.

  • Register on the event page first; trades before registering may not count.
  • Track your cumulative volume against each threshold instead of overtrading.
  • Treat rewards as CC exposure, not cash.
