Checked

BloFin, Bitunix and Bitbase are three futures-focused crypto exchanges that LiquidityFlow covers. This page compares them on the things you can check: fees from each exchange's own fee page, live market counts from each exchange's public data, KYC rules from each exchange's help center, and safety disclosures where the exchange publishes them. If we couldn't confirm something on an official page, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Fees compared

All three use the same base futures rate: 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker.

  • BloFin (fee schedule, read November 1, 2026): Regular tier futures 0.0200% maker / 0.0600% taker, spot 0.1000% / 0.1000%.
  • Bitunix (fee page, read November 1, 2026): VIP 0 futures 0.0200% / 0.0600%, spot 0.0800% maker / 0.1000% taker.
  • Bitbase (help center VIP fee table, effective September 4, 2026): VIP 0 futures 0.0200% / 0.0600%, spot 0.10% / 0.10%. Bitbase's public market data on November 1, 2026 at 6:30 PM ET showed the 0.02%/0.06% rate on 765 of 768 live perpetuals. The other three showed 0.04% maker.

Worked example. Opening and closing a 10,000 USDT futures position with market orders costs 10,000 × 0.06% × 2 = 12 USDT on all three exchanges. With limit orders that rest on the book (maker both ways) it costs 10,000 × 0.02% × 2 = 4 USDT. Bitbase publishes the same example. Funding payments come on top. See funding rates.

VIP tiers lower fees on all three, based on 30-day volume or balance. The top tiers listed on November 1, 2026 were BloFin VIP 5 (futures 0.0000% / 0.0350%), Bitunix VIP 8 (futures 0.0000% / 0.0260%) and Bitbase VIP 7 (futures 0.0050% / 0.0250%). More on maker vs taker fees and our fees page.

Markets and products

Counts come from each exchange's public market data. All were pulled on November 1, 2026.

  • BloFin (public API, 6:31 PM ET): 527 live perpetuals. That's 413 crypto, 108 stocks, 5 commodities and 1 index. By margin currency: 503 USDT, 14 USD and 10 USDC. Maximum leverage is set per contract. The highest was 150x, on BTC-USDT and ETH-USDT.
  • Bitunix (public futures pairs, 6:31 PM ET): 790 open pairs: 750 USDT, 25 USDC and 15 USD. One more pair was in preview. Maximum leverage varies by pair. The highest was 200x, on BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, PAXGUSDT, XAGUSDT and XAUUSDT. Bitunix also lists US stock futures, which are USDT-margined TradFi perpetuals. Its public pair list doesn't label asset classes, so we don't give a stock count.
  • Bitbase (public market data, 6:30 PM ET): 768 live perpetuals: 734 USDT-margined and 34 USDC-margined. Bitbase states no single maximum leverage and sets it per contract. Its market data for BTC lists cross and isolated margin, plus take-profit, stop and trailing-stop order types. We found no stock tickers among Bitbase's live perpetuals. Separately, Bitbase's help center describes U.S. stock trading that runs through Alpaca Securities LLC, which handles execution, clearing and custody.

Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. A high maximum leverage is a ceiling, not a recommendation.

KYC and account limits

BloFin. BloFin's identity verification article says new accounts start at the "Basic" level (Lv 0). Personal Information Verification (Lv 1) and Address Proof Verification (Lv 2) each raise the 24-hour withdrawal limit, so check BloFin's article for the current limits. BloFin's table lists futures trading and max leverage as "No limit" at every level. Accepted documents are an ID card, passport, residence permit or driver's license, plus a selfie.

Bitunix. Bitunix's KYC level article (updated October 16, 2026) says unverified accounts get "basic account functions only", and that "certain trading, withdrawal, and fiat services may be restricted." Level 1 (Basic Verification: government ID and a biometric selfie) unlocks crypto withdrawals. Level 2 (Advanced Verification: proof of address) raises the 24-hour withdrawal limit. Check Bitunix's article for the current limits. Bitunix says actual limits also depend on region and account risk assessment.

Bitbase. Bitbase's identity verification article accepts a passport, national ID card or driver's license, for ages 18 to 65. It says your features and withdrawal limits depend on your KYC status. The futures beginner's guide tells you to "complete all required verifications and account activation steps for futures trading as prompted." Quick Buy requires KYC. Bitbase's limit table isn't consistent, so check the limits shown in your account. Step by step: how to sign up, verify, deposit and withdraw on Bitbase.

Safety: registrations and proof of reserves

All three publish a Merkle-tree proof of reserves you can check your own balance against; see proof of reserves explained for step-by-step checks on each. Bitbase publishes the most on the pages we could read:

  • Registrations (bitbase.com/aboutUs): Bitbase Global Inc. (Panama) has a FinCEN Money Services Business registration, no. 31000331133865. BITBASE PTY LTD is registered with AUSTRAC as a digital currency exchange (ABN 19671902168). Bitbase notes that registration "does not imply regulatory endorsement or approval."
  • Proof of reserves (bitbase.com/proof-of-reserves): monthly Merkle-tree snapshots for BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC that users can verify themselves. The October 2026 snapshot showed BTC 107.22%, ETH 104.09%, USDT 100.76% and USDC 102.61%. Bitbase says proof of reserves "is not the same as an audit."
  • Risk Reserve Fund (Terms of Use, section 15.5): it absorbs futures liquidation shortfalls. It is Bitbase's own property, not a segregated client asset or insurance, and users have no direct claim on it.

BloFin and Bitunix: we couldn't confirm proof-of-reserves or licence details on their official pages on November 1, 2026, so we don't compare them here. See the BloFin and Bitunix exchange pages for what we've documented. More on Bitbase: Is Bitbase legit?

Which one fits which trader

These are facts, not a ranking:

  • Lowest base spot maker fee: Bitunix, at 0.08%.
  • Same base futures cost: all three, at 0.02% / 0.06%.
  • Most open perpetuals on November 1, 2026: Bitunix (790), then Bitbase (768), then BloFin (527).
  • Stock perps: BloFin (108 in its live list) and Bitunix list them. Bitbase's stock product is share trading through a broker, not perps.
  • USDC-margined perps: all three list some. Bitbase has 34, Bitunix 25 and BloFin 10.
  • Most published safety detail on the pages we read: Bitbase (registrations, monthly proof of reserves, Risk Reserve Fund terms).
